What is Huperzine?

Huperzine A (Huperzine A) is a chemical substance used to improve memory and fight against Alzheimer's disease. This substance is taken from Huperzia serrata, a bryophyte commonly found in low-lying areas of Asia. It is a natural plant alkaloid, which means that the nitrogen atom of Huperzine A has a basic hydrogen ion concentration potential (PH value).

Initially, this plant was used as a traditional Chinese medicine to treat colds and blood diseases, and it has been used as a herbal remedy for many years. But in 1948, the active ingredient Huperzine A was isolated for the first time. Nowadays, many nutritional supplements or medicines that promote memory and treat Alzheimer's disease contain this ingredient.

Almost all medical attempts are carried out in China. But recently, some American researchers have also begun to have a keen interest in it, and some medical organizations have also taken multiple stages of research to understand the effect of this substance in enhancing cognitive ability. Some clinical trials in China have found that Huperzine A can effectively treat Alzheimer's and other memory decline diseases.huperzine powder for sale - JIAHE

One of the main chemical functions of Huperzine A is its use as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. Acetylcholinesterase is an enzyme in the brain that breaks down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is responsible for the synaptic function of a large number of neurons and the nerve excitation of the central nervous system. One acetylcholinesterase molecule can reduce the function of approximately 25,000 acetylcholine molecules. Inhibitors of this enzyme are often used to make nerve gas preparations, because too much acetylcholine in the body can cause muscle paralysis and death from suffocation.

Alzheimer's patients usually lack acetylcholine and depression cognitive function, because acetylcholine plays an important role in nerve stimulation, memory and learning, and excitement. Lowering the level of acetylcholinesterase can release acetylcholine, allowing more neurons to become active.

Huperzine A is an extremely effective acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. A daily intake of 100-200 mg can be effective. It can produce mild alertness to healthy adults. The side effects of Huperzine A include skin hives, diarrhea and insomnia, but are not common.
